Message from the Artist

I love being creative and pushing my creative limits; I also love animals. For me, there is nothing better than blending the two together into something that makes people so happy. Seeing the thrill in a person’s face as they open their jewelry bag to find their favorite animal or flower on a gemstone is the reason I keep creating the pendants. My hope is that every piece of wire jewelry will bring a sense of joy, elegance and uniqueness that I find when creating each piece.

The History of Blue Fern Jewelry

Blue Fern Jewelry started when I was searching for a simple, elegant animal pendant for a necklace chain, but came up empty. Instead of continuing the search, I decided to put my artistic talents to the test and create my own pendant. After some time, the memory of making wire animals in a college art class popped into my head. Why not make a smaller piece of art that can be mounted on a gemstone? My first attempt at a shape was an artistic version of a fern. Next I tried animal shapes and, soon after wearing many to work at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, requests came in from coworkers. As word spread, demand for a website grew and now Blue Fern Jewelry is not only in local stores, but also online. Though the company has grown, I still create every pendant with the thought that each is a unique piece of art.
